Launched to assist solo yachtman on board 28ft yacht Greensleeves unable to cope with weather conditions some 11 miles SSW of Pier head near Swin Spitway Bouy. On arrival crew member put aboard to assist and yacht towed to Brightlingsea.

Launched on service to a 55ft,104 year old, sail training yacht Duet with 9 POB which went aground on the Gunfleet sands 5 miles SSE of Walton Pier. On arrival a line was attached & the Lifeboat was able to pull her free and she carried on her way.

Yacht Lazy Bear aground on Middle Sunk - RNLI Walton and Frinton Lifeboat

Launched on service to a yacht Lazy Bear aground on Middle Sunk 12 miles South South East of station. Once scene a crew member was placed on board and casualty towed to deeper water. Once clear Lazy Bear was happy to continue on its passage.

Launched on service to a yacht Wind of Change becalmed and with engine failure 28 miles SSE of station. Once on scene a tow was passed and a long trip back to Brightlingsea commenced.

Wind of Change placed securely alongside at Brightlingsea at which time Dover coastguard allowed us to return to station.

Launched on service to a suspect object that was spotted from the shoreline by a member of the public. Area just to the north of Walton Pier searched with nothing found at which time Dover coastguard stood us down to return to station.

Motor Vessel Tern under tow by RNLI Walton and Frinton Lifeboat

Launched on service to Motor Vessel Tern broken down 200 yards NE of Pier Head. Once on scene tow passed and vessel taken under tow into Titchmarsh Marina.

Tern was safely placed along side a berth at the marina and our Tamar Class lifeboat Irene Muriel Rees was released and able to return to station.

Launched on service to yacht Akela which had become fouled on fishing gear 4.5 miles North from station. Once on scene crew member was place on-board yacht to assist casualties. Fishing gear was grappled and released from yachts propellor allowing them to continue on their passage to the River Colne.

Launched on service to a 46ft motor cruiser Alysia-Rose with 5 POB, with no engine power 23 miles South South-West of station. Once on scene tow established & headed towards Sheerness. Arrangements were made with Sheerness Lifeboat to take over the tow at the Blacktail Spit Buoy were they carried on to Queensbrough.

Launched to a Pan Pan call from a yacht Tabasco with 2 persons on boad which had broken its rudder and in danger of being pushed onto a sand bank. Tabasco was 4 miles south of stations needing assistance. Once once scene a townline was passed and rigged allow a tow to be carried out to Shotley Marina. Once casualty has been escorted onto the berth we were released back to station.

Launched at the request of the coastguard to evacuate a female on board a yacht suffering from sea sickness. Once one scene casualty transferred to lifeboat via Y-Class where Firs Aid assessment and assistance was give. Casualty was brought ashore to awaiting ambulance crew.

Launched on service to 8 meter Yacht Steal Awaywith 2 person on board, requiring assistance after grounding on the Longsand Head. The yacht, some 7 miles South East of station had broken its rudder and had a like around its propeller. Crew member place on board and tow established to Titchmarsh Marina.

Launched on server to 38ft Yacht Spirit 2.5 miles East of station with a sick crewman on board bound for Harwich

Once on scene two crew were put onboard with First Aid Kit and Oxygen to provide treatment. A tow was established to make greater progress into Harwich where an ambulance was waiting.

Launched on server to 33ft fishing boat Misty Lady taking on water with 1 Person on board. Vessel was 7 miles East South East from station requiring immediate assistance.

While on route to casualty information had been passed that the Skipper had abandoned to life-raft as vessel was continuing to take on water. Once on scene casualty rescued from life-raft and efforts made to save vessel. Pumping out of vessel occurred and tow commenced to Walton Backwaters.
