Launch after Mayday from yacht Burlesque, 34ft with 2POB with jammed sails and experiencing adverse conditions. Survey vessel Cefas Endeavour gave a lee to enable crew member to board yacht and attach towline. Yacht then towed to Shotley Marina.

Launched to assist Yacht Mystere 4POB aground on SW Sunk Sands, 13 Miles South of Station. Y Boat used to run towline to yacht and one yacht crew taken on board lifeboat. Yacht pulled clear of sands undamaged and resumed passage to Calais.

Launched to assist yacht Hawkeye which had lost rudder after grounding on SW Sunk Sands, 13 miles SSW of Pier. Yacht was Towed to Brightlingsea.

Launched to assist yacht Balladwith engine failure and suffering adverse weather conditions 2 miles off Holland Haven. Tow attached and yacht taken into lee of land to assess a reported earlier gas leak. Gas had been dispersed by opening hatches. Yacht then taken in tow to Titchmarsh Marina.

Launched to assist grounded yacht some 11 Miles SSE of Pier Head on the Middle Sunk Sand. On arrival yacht hard aground, 2 crew taken off by Y Boat and LB returned to pier. LB re­-launched later, put crew aboard and towed yacht off sands and into Brightlingsea..

Launched to assist in search for missing person from yacht sunk after collision with dredger, near Cross Bouy - Harwich Deep water channel 9 Miles NE of pier. One person rescued by dredger after incident.

Extensive search with Harwich Lifeboats, Aldeburgh Lifeboat and numerous vessels as well as helicopter.Search continued overnight and body recovered by divers Monday afternoon.

Launched to assist American yacht Arwen Evenstar experiencing fuel problems and unable to make headway due to lack of wind and adverse tide. Yacht taken in tow and later lifeboat crew member put on board and succeeded in restating engine. Tow released off the Naze and yacht made its won way to Shotley Marina.

Launched to assist Dutch yacht Carpe Diem, near Long Sand Head 15 miles East of Pier, with engine failure in calm conditions. Towed to Shotley Marina.

Launched to search for dog reported in sea close to the pier. Y boat launched to carry out search inshore while lifeboat searched with flares and search lights. Nothing found and search called off.

Launched to assistance of 25ft yacht Narina with 3 pob, with engine failure and unable to make headway in prevailing conditions one mile north east of pier. Towed to Shotley Marina.

Paged to assist in search for missing dog close to pier. Dog was spotted swimming away from shore so a member of crew put a dry suit on and retrieved the dog from the water.

Re-Launched to relive Harwich Lifeboat standing by 260 metre container ship ANL Warringa with 28 POB, container ship with engine failure and dragging anchor close to Greater Gabbard Wind Farm 27 Miles East of Station. On arrival of tug Lifeboat released to return to station

Launched to joing search for 2 suspected persons overboard in entrance to Harwich Harbour from ferry Stena Britannica. Searched togther with Harwich lifeboats, helicopters and numerous other vessels around Harwich approach channel and coastline as fas as Bawdsey. Nothing found and search called off.
